Intro Level

The Intro level is perfect for those brand new to shuffle dancing. At this level, we focus on building the foundations of shuffle, with slow and detailed breakdowns of basic moves like the Running Man, T-Step, and Charleston.

The primary goal is to teach the proper technique and timing, helping you understand the groove and rhythm required for shuffling.

With tempos ranging from 70 to 100 BPM, this level gives you plenty of time to feel comfortable with the movements and work on control. The focus is on drilling moves to slow beats, allowing you to develop muscle memory at your own pace.

If you’re completely new to shuffle, this is where you’ll want to start.

Beginner Level

The Beginner level is for dancers who have a basic understanding of shuffling but want to focus on solidifying their technique and learning how to combine moves into short routines. This level introduces faster tempos, ranging from 100 BPM and up, helping you build speed and coordination.

The focus is on perfecting key shuffle moves like the Running Man, T-Step, and simple variations, along with learning to transition smoothly between them.

While you’re still working at a manageable pace, the Beginner level encourages you to start thinking about musicality and putting together sequences of movements to a beat.

If you’ve taken an intro class or have some shuffle experience, this is a great place to continue your journey.

Beginner/Intermediate Level

The Beginner/Intermediate level bridges the gap between basic understanding and more advanced shuffle techniques.

At this level, we increase the tempo, typically using songs at their intended BPM, giving you the opportunity to practice more challenging transitions and footwork.

You’ll learn more complex combinations and focus on incorporating musicality into your routines. This level encourages dancers to work on their endurance and precision while maintaining clean transitions and building fluidity in their shuffle flow.

It’s ideal for those who are comfortable with the fundamentals but want to begin exploring more advanced combinations and adding personal style to their movements.

Intermediate Level

The Intermediate level is for dancers who have developed a strong shuffle foundation and are ready to push their abilities further.

At this level, you’ll be working with songs at full tempo, challenging your stamina, timing, and precision.

We focus on advanced shuffle techniques, complex transitions, and more intricate combinations that will elevate your shuffle flow. This level emphasizes musicality, encouraging dancers to not only execute the steps but interpret the music with their movements.

It’s perfect for those looking to improve their ability to freestyle, perform seamless transitions, and add personal flair to their shuffle routines.

If you’re comfortable with faster tempos and confident with shuffle fundamentals, this level is for you.

Intermediate/Advanced Level

The Intermediate/Advanced level is designed for dancers who have a solid command of shuffle fundamentals and are eager to refine their technique while adding a high level of precision and personal style. At this stage, you’ll dive deep into the intricate, fast-paced, and highly dynamic movements that push your shuffle skills to new heights.

This level involves working with higher BPM songs (typically ranging from 125-130 BPM), challenging your stamina, speed, and control as you work through more complex shuffle variations.

The focus here is on advanced transitions, mastering detailed footwork, and seamlessly integrating combos into both choreography and freestyle.

This level is ideal for dancers who are comfortable with shuffling and are now ready to bring an extra level of creativity and refinement to their shuffle routines.
